As part of my We Are Marshy Folk project, I displayed my In the Shadow of the Water Tower work from 2024 in Grimsby Minster as part of Heritage Open Days. When I revisited this work, which was done thanks to funding from #CreateNEL, I realised just how much I'd done, and also just how much it changed how I see Grimsby. I've always wanted to see the town beyond the loss of the docks, and celebrating, and remembering our water and waterways has enabled me to do that. The work was displayed between 16-19 September. I did get some feedback that the writing was a bit too small, so I'm taking that on board and will print it out larger when it goes on display again!
