Grimsby and its water

The story of the Waterworks Woods is the story of Grimsby. It is one of ice-age geology and water. Settlement, control and management of water; industrial technologies, burgeoning population, growth and decline, and ultimately finding a new way forward as the water begins to take the land back...

Inspired by this project I'm now working on We Are Marshy Folk, an investigation into the marshy history of Grimsby's coast before the arrival of the docks.
