In May and July I worked alongside Barmpot Theatre and James the Canoe River Cleaner on a project to get local children engaged with the chalk streams and blow wells on their doorsteps. We worked with four schools as well as the Lincolnshire Chalk Stream project to create art and poetry that inspired a set of puppets that the children produced to show their love for their landscape. My part of the project was to get children making colloborative art and mini haikus when they reflected on their trip to Laceby Beck, this work was then used to create the puppets. I was really happy to be asked by Jane from Barmpot Theatre to take part as I love where I live and its unique landscape and it's important that younger generations learn about it so they can be its future guardians.
