A bike ride along the marshes

As I've been living at the Fitties for the last few weeks, I thought I'd take a bike ride along the coast to Tetney. The great sweep of salt marsh and lagoony pools you can see here gave me a vision of how I could imagine the 'the three miles of boggy turf between Grimsby and Clee' that a visitor to the area declared in the 1790s. Standing on this coast amid a grand vista of marsh and sky on the turf bank, recently brushed by a recent very high tide, makes you realise just how vulnerable life on the edge can be. #wearemarshyfolk @createnel
